I wonder what behavioural economists make of the blogosphere? ...
I mean, if I post a story saying that house prices are about to drop by 20% and then everybody else does, surely that's got to be a potentially dangerous situation for the housing market. Shall we give it a go?
Is the blogosphere about people merely repeating others? Obviously that's what I am doing here but I am also adding commentary and maybe some analysis in that not all my posts are regurgitation of others work (admitedly a lot are) nor do they seek to sensationalise or exaggerate existing information.
However, as I have commented at iWire, there is a lot of sense in what is being said after all how do such things as urban myths, office gossip and such like get spread?
